Guidance Notes

Teams and Organisations should have a Roadmap that describes how their Objectives are expected to be delivered within their agreed Budget & Headcount.

This Roadmap should:

  1. Be agreed in the short to medium term, and then candidate or indicative beyond this.
  2. Show the Major Change Initiatives that will deliver the Team or Organisation’s Objectives, when they’re expected to start and finish, and their Budget & Headcount profile.
  3. Be underpinned by evidence gathered from Innovation activities as to how the Major Change Initiatives will deliver the Team or Organisation’s Objectives and what Budget and Headcount / Effort will be required to deliver them.
  4. Show the sub-Organisations or Teams within the Organisation, their Budget & Headcount profile, and any major future expected events (e.g. changes to lifecycle stages, significant user rollouts).
